The Catalina 27 is an absolute stunner. That should come as no surprise, as Chris-Craft have a decades-old reputation for making stand-out boats. Company founder Christopher Smith hand built his first boat in 1874. While the company has grown considerably since his time, their new models are just as impressive as their history.
The Catalina 27 stretches 26-feet, 6-inches with, a trailerable 8-foot, 6-inch beam. Every inch of this boat has been designed for comfort and functionality. It’s a capable fishing machine, with integrated rod holders in the aft gunnels, an available aerated livewell in the back of the helm seat, and plenty of cockpit space for a big catch. Outfit the Catalina with the powder-coated T-top and you’ve got a complete angling setup.
Or you could go a different route. The premium hard top is an excellent choice if you’re tastes run more toward luxury cruising. With its full-beam width and polished stainless steel legs, it gives the Catalina a unique look, while providing ample protection for the pas-sengers on the double-wide helm seat below.
Speaking of passengers, the Catalina 27 offers comfortable seating for seven passengers. In addition to the two on the helm seat, there’s room for two more on the spacious aft bench, one on the forward facing seat in front of the console, and finally, two more on the opposing bow settees. The enclosed head compartment with optional pump out further improve the creature comforts on board.
